Stella had her first playdate on Saturday. First she powerwalked around the Blvd bright and early in the a.m….then she came home and galloped through the house for awhile. Then Cooper and his Mama came over. Cooper was more interested in Rob than the black whirling dirvish of fur that kept running around him, bouncing off him and annoying him like a black fly.
Cooper is experienced at this whole play thing. His Mama sends him to Kamp K9 to run around with the other dogs:
Stella is new to this whole how to play nice thing. She’s working on it. She meets other dogs while walking in the hood and when walking the Blvd. She’s doing much better at focusing on the walk instead of the dog coming towards her.
Cooper was very patient with Stella…why he even taught her a new trick….one we’re hoping she forgets quickly.
I didn’t get a photo of Stella copying Cooper’s “Stop, Drop and Roll” because I was trying to find out exactly what they were rolling in. Wasn’t poop….wasn’t a dead thing….just a patch of grass that thankfully had no detectable smell. Thank you Cooper!
Cooper and his Mama went on the merry way shortly after the lesson, and Miss Stella went into the house for a quick tummy rub, and a long, long nap. She was exhausted. Rob asked if Cooper could stop by everyday to tire her out. Have I mentioned yet how much energy she has?????
