For those of you who haven’t read it before…..our Stella was rescued from a shelter. Yes, our beautiful girl was in a shelter down south in Louisiana. Fortunately for us, she was pulled out of the high kill shelter, put into a foster home, and through the fabulous efforts of wonderful volunteers…..came to live with us in Maine!!

We’re big fans in this house of dog adoption….so many beautiful dogs are in shelters….just waiting for a good home. Here in New England we run across tons of dogs at the dog park and on our walks that have been rescued from shelters. It’s a good thing!
Read on below about what Pedigree is doing for these pups….and then go to the Pedigree page on Facebook and “Like” it!! Something so simple…and you can provide a meal for a dog that last year could have been our Stella…..
Thank you from Stella, and all the other dogs waiting to be adopted!!!
Each year, more than four million heroic dogs end up in shelters and breed rescue organizations every year in the United States.
PEDIGREE, with your help, wants to feed these fine dogs while they are waiting to go to their forever homes! Pedigree created the Pedigree Adoption Drive to help shine a spotlight on the plight of these homeless dogs.
For each blog that publishes a post about the Pedigree Adoption Drive from today through Sunday, September 19, PEDIGREE will donate a 20 pound bag of their new Healthy Longevity Food for Dogs to shelters nationwide. Why? Because most shelter dogs are more than 3 years old.
This year the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive is raising awareness for homeless dogs by donating a bowl of food to shelter dogs for everyone who becomes a “Fan” or “Likes” The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive on Facebook. So far more than 1 million bowls have been donated.
It’s so simple…..go to Pedigree’s Facebook page and “Fan” or “Like” it!!!!! Click on the link….
